                          Games for Teaching English Writing





Writing True/False Statements The first time this activity is carried out it is the teacher who needs to write. The second time the students can do the writing themselves. Write statements on the board - some true, some not. Some can be ridiculous, especially if you are teaching children. Some can be obvious, although with more advanced groups it's a good idea to include statements that require some thinking about, to increase interest in the activity.
Some example sentences could be: "Polar bears live at the South Pole," "Hamlet was written by Dickens," "Dogs always cook cats." Anything you want that suits the age and level of the class. Students must comment orally first, then in writing, about the sentences. For example: "Dogs never cook cats. They chase them," etc. Once the students understand, they can write their own statements, and respond in writing to those of other students.
Dictationcan become a game-like activity when practiced in a variety of ways, and when interesting material is used. There are many types of dictation, and it's important to vary the way it's done. Here are two that students often enjoy.
Running dictations are when pieces of text are stuck to the classroom walls, and teams (divided into runners and readers, and writers, who must remain by the board to write what the others on their team tell them. It's a good to give different students the role of writer a few times. The teams must copy the writing on the wall accurately.
CD dictation can also be fun. Draw the controls of a CD player on the board. Stop, Play and Go Back are enough. Explain to the students that they can control what you say by giving the above commands to you. Then read a short piece of text you have written or carefully chosen for the level of the students.
Read at a natural speed. The students must tell you to stop and go back etc, so they have time to write what you say. They can ask you how to spell the word, but nothing else. When the students are used to the activity they can complete the final sentence for themselves.
Consequencesis an old game, and is best for intermediate students. All students have a piece of paper. They all must write a name. The first name must be male for all, or female for all students. A famous person is best. Students then fold back the paper, hiding the name, and pass their paper to the next student (who should not look).
Then the students write 'met' followed by a female name (if the first name was male), then they fold the paper again, and pass it on to the next student. Next they must write a location, what they said, and last, 'The consequence was...'.
Then the papers are unfolded and read aloud. You may have, "Barack Obama met Hello Kitty in the pub. He said 'I love hamburgers.' She said 'What day is it?' The consequence was that they drove to Alaska." A little crazy, but this is generally part of the fun.

MY OPINION
There are many ways to develop students’ writing skill. Game is a good method that can help them to practice their writing happily. Good teachers have to find exciting games to teach them in many sources. They will study both content and interpersonal skill.

Reading to Speak: Integrating Oral Communication Skills

At the present, transportation business is developing continuously. There are many vehicles that are built to serve comfort to us. Car is the one of vehicles that is very popular and there are many people use it. Do you know the effects of using car? What’s happened if most people use cars? There are many reasons why cars should be banned.
Firstly, do you know our world is confronting with global warming and climate change? And the main causes of this problem are humans’ activities. Car is a major cause of air pollution that is difficult to solve. Because of burning gasoline will make toxin smoke that is very dangerous for our healthy and will be a cause of many diseases. Especially, in the town where consists of several tall buildings and narrow space which often holds air pollution and can’t drain. Most people in the city are ill because of the air pollution from using cars.
Secondly, car is a reason of traffic jam. When there are many cars on the road, they can’t go rapidly. Furthermore, we have to stop near the intersection for a long time. It is a waste of time because we have to use much time in our vehicles. Moreover, traffic jam can make us be bored and stress.
Thirdly, there are many accidents that are happened with cars. Because of we can drive it at high speed, we won’t realize about safety. All situations will bring lost both body and mental.
Fourthly, the price of cars is important for drivers. Several car producers will make new cars continuously and they will be very expensive. If there is no money to buy, we may take on loan. It will increase our financial burden. Moreover, if we can’t spend money for them, the company will confiscate our car, too.
Fifthly, the petroleum is the important power for cars but it is more expensive. We have to spend much money to buy diesel oil for our cars. Further, all petroleum can’t reuse, too. It may deplete from our world.
Finally, it is a problem if we use cars in the town because there won’t be a large space to park them. Furthermore, it is a cause of traffic jam if we park them in unsuitable places.
There are many effects that are happened when we use cars. We should realize the importance of protection our world, energy and ourselves, saving our money, solving traffic problem. Therefore, cars should be banned.

               It is to present a primary motivation to learn English language in several ways and be able to converse with speakers in English languages. Teachers are the writer’s audience. There are some evidences that support this topic. For example, The teacher should provide chances for oral interaction, as most of the teachers talk on and on throughout the lesson without giving students any opportunity to speak, thus turning the class into a listening exercise. The teacher can use integration of speaking and reading activities in both intensive and extensive reading classes. Students are encouraged to use their imaginations and make any changes to the plot and dialogues in their performance. The activity is organized according to the steps outlined below.
MY OPINION
I agree with this journal because integrated speaking approach which is added to reading and writing lessons to ensure that students receive essential practice in oral communication is a good way to develop speaking skill.

Using National Park as Classroom
            Today ,  I listen the VOA Special English Education Report. The  topic is Using National Park as Classroom. This place not only the travel place but it is Service plans to increase its educational programs for students and teachers.
            The National Park is the Service plans to increase its educational programs for students and teachers. This place can to do everything For example, it is transportation support for one hundred thousand students each year to visit national parks to learn about nature and history, and student will get a chance to see parks in faraway places through Skype and other online programs, and the last The National Park Service also works with partners to provide education.
            Using National Park as Classroom is important because student can study outside the classroom. It make student can learn about real material. If student learn with the real material to make student can learn very fun and student can learn effectively.

Today, My friends and I present about learning strategies. I listen and write what they are present. Today my friends present six topics. The topic they present such as Task Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Listening Teaching, Speaking Teaching, Reading Teaching and Writing Teaching.
The first is Task Based Learning. It’s method to make student learn through activities in the classroom. The merit this method is student can practice your language from activities and they can to use language for every situation in their life. The second is Project Based Learning. This method stress student and it’s to improve the knowledge and skill through project. This method can motivate students for research by themselves. The third is Listening Teaching. This method Listening is the language modality that is used most frequently. It has been estimated that adults spend almost half their communication time listening, and students may receive as much as 90% of their in-school information through listening to instructors and to one another. The fourth is Speaking Teaching, In the communicative model of language teaching, instructors help their students develop this body of knowledge by providing authentic practice that prepares students for real-life communication situations. The fifth is Reading Teaching. The sixth is Writing Teaching
Learning Stretegies has many such as Task Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Listening Teaching. Speaking Teaching, Reading Teaching and Writing Teaching. All these method we can choose some method for use to improve in the teaching and learning with our student.
All method that is interesting for me and I can choose all method for to teach and improve skill of my student effectively in the future.

                    Today, I talk with my friend on Facebook. I ask her, how are you today she says today is pretty good and I says oh really today is pretty good. She asks me, why? And I say today is a bad because I have many homework and I very tried. And I can talk with her many thing. From I talk with my friend I can speak English with her. And I can practice speaking skill and writing with her too.

Are people who speak more than one language smarter



Today, I reads the VOA Special English Education Report. I interest this report because nowadays this report can to motivate students like to speak more than one language. the topic are people who speak more than one language smarter .

Many researchers found that people scored lower on intelligence tests if they spoke more than one language. Research in the sixties found the opposite. Bilingual people scored higher than monolinguals, people who speak only one language. That the reason to make researcher want to research because people who speak only one language to make they cannot understand or they are difficult to understand of language. So that important student can to speak more than one language.

Who speak more than one language they have a good speaking skill. Speaking skill that is important in their life because who can speak more than one language they can do everything what they want to do. And they can conversation with your friends another country or foreigner.

Today, I read news of Thailand's Got Talent Shows. This news to tell about Powerful plea for peace from Pattani musician. This perform by Mr. Somchai Ninsri and he nickname is Chai. He is 29 years old. He comes from Pattani Province.

Mr. Somchai Ninsri talk Today I’ve come to sing a song I composed for the three southernmost provinces (southern border provinces) because now a day southernmost have many event to make people that here can not to live comfortable the same in the past. So today he want to show sing a song, the song is White doves! Do come back! . This song want the people have a unity. Don’t want to see people’s killing each other, but he want to see what used to be – holding hands and walking with our arms around our shoulders – like it was in the past.
          Thailand’s Got Talent Show is delighted to have you sing of a problem of Thailand at this moment on the stage of Thailand’s Got Talent. I think this show is very interesting because he can share the fell of him to people in Thailand. He can make people in Thailand or the other country know about what happened in the southernmost provinces (southern border provinces).

Learning Strategies
Today, My friends the other groups present about learning strategies. I listen and write what they are present. Today my friends present three topics. The topic they present such as Belief, Content Based learning, Problem Based learning.
The first topic is Belief, The belief isn’t teaching method but it is the belief about religious. It’s don’t worry about that true or false. This belief teacher and student must to understand identical. This method have a technique is if teacher want to tech about grammar is taught deductively so student must to understand and belief follow teacher.
The second topic is Content Based Learning , this method is stress the content in the teaching and learning. Teacher should know about the content to use to your student and she can choose the content to your student understand easily. This method is important because it can to test understanding your student too. It is difficult for teacher if teacher don’t know the level skill’s student. So teacher must to learn of skill your student to much because it can to help teacher to improve your student correctly.
The third topic is Problem Based Learning, this method is the teaching use the stress the problem is the motivation for student can to study for solve. This method give to student is who decide what is they want to know and student can to do work group in their learners. The technique this method has many such as Clarifying unfamiliar term, Problem definition, Prain storm, Analyzing the problem, Formulating learning issue, Self-study, Reprting.
Learning Stretegies has many such as Belief , Content Besed Learning, Problem Based Learning. All these method we can choose some method for use to improve in the teaching and learning with our student.
All method that is interesting for me and I can choose all method for to teach and improve skill of my student effectively in the future.

Debating the Best Way to Learn a Language




Today , I listen the VOA Special English Education Report. The topic is Debating the Best Way to Learn a Language. A small study of foreign language learning in adults compared two methods. One is known as the explicit or classroom method and the other method is known as the implicit or immersion method.

The first method is known as the explicit or classroom. This is the kind of traditional classroom teaching where students are taught a lot of information about grammar rules. the other method is known as the implicit or immersion method. This is to learn much the way children do when they learn a native language. Mr. Ullman was the senior investigator for the new study. He is a professor of neuroscience at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington. He says he was surprised to find that combining the two methods might not help the brain in processing the new language.

I think when teacher combine these two methods. that necessarily a better way to learn a language. It makes student has the brain in processing the new language.

Learning Log

               Today is the first day in learning and teaching. I very exciting because i can meet friends,teacher and can study a new subject in this semester. I study subject is Curriculum and Learning Management in English by Dr.Anirut Chumsawat.He tells about in the present we can learn from many ways such as inside the classroom and outside the classroom.
                The first thing,i can learn inside the classroom with Dr.Anirut Choomsawat.Today he asks opinion to every student about (KWL) K=What we know? I answer him,i knew about the basic knowledge about grammatical and a little vocabulary. W=What we want to know? I tell him,i want to know about teaching process to make student stud easily.L=What we have to learned? I tell him,after i studied grammatical appropriate.I can understand and identify each type of grammatical,i can know many teaching method to make improve student to understand and i can to expand my occupation in the future.And he explains us about studying of the test IELTS,TOFEL,TOEIL,all these test important for the English teacher and student in the English program.
                The second thing,i can learn outside the classroom,he gives us to practice four skills such as listening,speaking,reading.and writing from the internet,on Youtube,on Skype,in Forum,and Facebook.All these skill is important to make improve my more very well.And he gives me to write my learning log in the blog this method is good idea because i can get a new knowledge and can review knowledge again.And the last,he gives me to do my work group present about teaching process of each method and i can expand and improve my teaching in the future.
                Curriculum and Learning Management in English is important subject because it has many method to help me can learn and improve for my teaching and learning.
                This subject, I expect to make me can improve four skills very well because i can find information many ways such as inside the classroom or outside the classroom but i must to try try and try so i will successful in the future.
